Hola, everyone!
This week's trend is mid-century modern! This style has been back for awhile now, with tons of people going for the retro-modern look in their homes, art, furniture, and decor. This type of design was popular between the 1940s and 1980s, but its clean lines and quirky elements have always received a lot of favoritism among designers. Homes were built with huge windows, sliding doors, and split level floorplans. These types of homes are still pretty popular today.
While I'm not a huge fan of mid-century modern homes for myself, I can really appreciate the design elements that go into this trend. I really love mid mod art and fabric, and I would love to own a few pieces of mid mod furniture! Mid-century modern design usually features simple, clean lines, graphic or geometric motifs, and often wooden elements. The art has a lot of movement to it, whether through quirky motifs or the use of geometric shapes and lines.
I'm currently working on a mid mod collection of patterns, and I'll be sharing some of them by the end of the week, so stay tuned for that!
